Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, since 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their consumers reach their goals since they know the bottom line is performance and dependability.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general kinds, the straight boom lift and articulated boom lift. Both these units are often hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the great option for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Since the operator could steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a very versatile machinery. These models are available in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as gas, diesel or propane configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift models perform tasks that straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are practically identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work environment.
To be able to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Proper training is necessary prior to using boom lifts in order to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs which used to need many more man hours to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These machines have revolutionized the material handling industry and have really increased productivity.
