Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is made for lifting and lowering loaded pallets from high storage spaces. This particular kind is recommended for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, such as retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires which make maneuvering easy.
The operator of this particular kind of forklift generally stands up in a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: two in the front, and one in the back. This configuration enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are some models of these forklifts that are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the entire equipment. The sit-down version normally has four wheels.
Numerous narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Electric-powered machinery are not noisy and do not produce exhaust fumes, making them the preferred choice for closed places such as retail spaces. Some lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. Nonetheless, the diesel version is not recommended to be used indoors since it can produce exhaust and be quite noisy.
