Caterpillar Reach Stackers Mesa

A reach stacker is a vehicle meant to handle the movement of containerized cargo in small and medium-sized terminals and ports. Reach stackers are perfect for quickly shuttling containers short distances and piling them in rows.



Reach stackers are a popular choice for handling intermodal cargo containers because of their flexibility. They are capable of stacking higher than forklift trucks. With a reach stacker capable of second row access, container blocks can be kept four-deep.



Another version of the stacker is designed to handle empty containers only.



Types of Forklift Reach

Generally utilized on construction sites is a type of forklift known as forklift reach. It is equipped with really large tires that provide great stability on uneven terrain and a boom. The forklift reach comes in the following variations:



The Stand-Up Reach includes a narrow width which makes it suitable for racked pallet storage.



The straddle Reach has outriggers and hydraulic-like scissors attachments attached at the front.



To allow the storage of pallets in double-deep racks, the Double-Deep reach is outfitted with an extended reach mechanism.
