Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts Mesa

Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts Mesa

Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts

Forklifts are powered lift trucks that are used in various kinds of industries to move heavy supplies and products. Forklifts are tough and dependable machinery which are necessary tools in warehouse and construction environments. Forklift models vary depending on the kind of fuel which is utilized to power the lift truck and the type of work setting.

Electricity

Electric powered lift trucks are best for indoor environments, or in sites with limited ventilation as they produce no exhaust fumes. They are designed with industrial strength batteries. Since the electric lift truck batteries must be charging, the worksite should have a charging station. The batteries are tough and can be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they need to be replaced. The charging station should be situated in a ventilated area and include an emergency eyewash station and an acid spill kit.

Propane

Liquid propane powered forklifts are commonly utilized in modern industrial operations because propane has some benefits over electric and diesel. Propane models are cleaner to use than diesel-powered units. There is no down time needed to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost of electricity is more than the cost of propane. A forklift propane tank can be refueled easily and quickly by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Usually an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling very safe and efficient.

Gasoline and Gas

Gasoline and Diesel lift trucks are the equipment of choice for outdoor applications and rough terrain. They are normally found on construction sites and lumber yards. Their disadvantages include fairly high maintenance needs, odorous exhaust and relatively high fuel costs. Their advantages comprise a longer lifespan than other units and dependability in tough conditions. Gasoline and diesel units should be refueled at a supply station on site which meets health and safety policies.
