Potain Cranes Mesa

The company Potain was established within La Clayette, France during the year 1928. Ever since that time, the company has grown into a leading producer of cranes. The company is responsible for over 100,000 cranes in operation all over the world. At present, the company manufacturers over 60 models from various production facilities in France, China, Germany, Italy and Portugal. The business represents many different product ranges designed for a variety of applications. These machinery are sold through a global Manitowoc dealer network.



The Potain family makes 3 different tower crane families. The self-erecting cranes are the smallest ones in the Potain range. These cranes range from 1 ton to 7.98 ton capacity. The next size up is the top-slewing cranes that are both larger and higher. These cranes vary from 7.98 to 64 tons. Additionally, these are the biggest special application cranes that are custom-made. These models provide a reach capacity of 160 tons.



Some of the main innovations with the company include the LLC series of hoists, the Vision Cab and the Dialog control system. The growing reputation of the company has expanded their appeal with different models. Potain cranes are often found on conventional construction sites, bridge building projects, power stations, ship-building projects and shipbuilding yards.



Two of Manitowac's biggest facilities are based in the United States. Their manufacturing facility is based within Wisconsin. In this state, both crawler cranes and the tower crane components are made in Pennsylvania inside the Shady Grove plant. Here both mobile cranes and boom trucks are built. Regional offices are situated in Mexico and in Brazil. Additionally, the extensive dealer network situated throughout Canada and the United States offers support and coverage unrivalled by any other crane producer.
