Motorized Pallet Truck

A Motorized Pallet Truck normally goes by other names like: Walkie or Walkie-Rider. These pieces of machinery are basically a motorized version of a pallet jack. They come in both "Walkie" models and "Rider" versions.



The walkie model as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk alongside the machine while they pick up and transport cargo. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are great for frequent moving of cargo over extended distances within manufacturing operations and warehouses. They are highly maneuverable and fast.



It is vital to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and hence, it is not recommended to move unstable or tall loads using these machines. A rider could be the right answer if you are looking for an inexpensive method for moving cargo from point A to point B. If though, you should move heavy loads short distances, and prefer to use a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model might be the right alternative.



Order Selector

The order picker or order selector is a piece machine made specially for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This platform elevates both the operator and the load in order to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.



Typically, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which could function in smaller aisles. They are really handy pieces of machinery during physical inventories as well as during cycle counting situations. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, though models that range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more common.
