Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck offering versatility and great height. The crane, or arm, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the load to great heights. Regular forklifts can not move the cargo towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is necessary.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would often utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed particularly to hoist employees. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a chain or strap which is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
