The global leader in the design and manufacture of a huge array of Peiner Buckets and Grapples is SMAG Germany. Our production line is comprised of electro-hydraulic motor grabs, mechanical motor grabs, hydraulic lifting machinery, single rope radio control grabs and a range of other kinds of specialized lifting devices.



To date, Peiner has supplied over 75,000 units across the world. Our unique grabs deal with a range of materials from cement, iron ores, coke, fertilizers, scrap and refuse, amongst a variety of other products. Our years of experience in the overall designing process and in making excellent products helps to enable our customers receive the proven technology their various applications need.



Within the United States marketplace, SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. Various businesses such as Steel Mills, Waste to Energy, Scrap Handling, Bulk Transfer Facilities as well as numerous other material handling facilities are now using our grabs and buckets to accomplish their tasks.



The design philosophy at Peiner has continually revolved around providing grabs which handle the largest volume of material vs. grab dead weight. The standard handling ratio for Peiner grabs and buckets is about 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent versus grab dead weight of 40 percent. This translates into moving more quantities of supplies faster. There is less wear and tear on the structure of the crane and its related parts. By combining manufacturing with high quality materials and innovative design, the required weight ratio is attained.



To be able to meet the specific needs of our clients' individual needs, grab sizes range from less than 1 cubic yard to more than fifty cubic yards. In addition, Peiner USA Inc. offers a complete service facility and spare parts facility for the models sold in the USA, along with the addition of new grabs and buckets.
